Did you catch it while reading the chapter? Paul knew how to respond because He listened to the Lord’s leading prior to the moment. Read it again then finish the devotional.
“So Paul said, “I stand at Caesar’s judgment seat, where I ought to be judged. To the Jews I have done no wrong, as you very well know.” Acts 25:10
What had the Lord just told Paul? “But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.”” Acts 23:11
Paul appealed to Caesar because he would need to go to Rome to do so. The Lord had spoken this into Paul’s life just before this. It wasn’t just the Lord encouraging Paul but also leading Paul. The Lord speaks many ways; still small voice, thru His Word, dreams and visions, thru creation, and thru others just to name a few… are you listening? We will know how to more appropriately respond as we become more aware of the Spirit of the Lord speaking in and thru us.
