“And we knelt down on the shore and prayed.”

Paul and family are moving quickly to Jerusalem. At this point he has been told several times what waits for him in Jerusalem. This doesn’t slow him down a bit. It’s encouraging to see him go after what the Lord has laid on his heart. And in the middle of travels, prophecy, and future trials we see beautiful community.

“When we had come to the end of those days, we departed and went on our way; and they all accompanied us, with wives and children, till we were out of the city. And we knelt down on the shore and prayed.” Acts 21:5

What a beautiful sight! Picture if you will, families coming together, their kids all around, and the group falling to their knees in prayer on the beach. It’s moments like these we need not forget. It’s moments like this we need not dismiss. It’s in these moments where the heart of the Father is shown in our love for one another. Enjoy the moments of prayer and fellowship. It could be with the community you fellowship with regularly or ones traveling through like Paul. There’s sweet fellowship in the body of Christ. Enjoy it, it’s from the Lord!
