Entrepreneur, factory worker, installer, civil servant, politician, day care worker, barista, car detailer, stay at home parent, student, fast food worker, health care worker, office worker, realtor… fill in the blank… YOU!

“So, because he(Paul) was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked; for by occupation they were tentmakers. And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.” Acts 18:3-4

Paul met Aquila and Priscilla. They worked and lived with them. What do you think was happening as they stayed together? Discipleship, prayer, and encouragement. The Father used their time together to further His kingdom. We see later Apollos has a heart to further the Kingdom of Jesus but needed help with some doctrinal issues. Who helps? Paul’s workmates and roommates, “When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.” Acts 18:26

We find out Apollos was instrumental in discipleship. So much so he baptizes many people (Read 1 Corinthians 3). The position you hold, the people you are around, and the influence you have are for the glory of Father and the furtherance of the Gospel. Utilize what you have and where you are for the Kingdom of heaven. It’s not about what you know but WHO you know that matters, “Now when they saw the boldness… And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13.
