No matter the cost it always cost Him more!

Prior to this primarily faith in Jesus was taught to the Jewish people. Yes, proselytes existed but these visions of Cornelius and Peter were game changers. I love how the Holy Spirit confirms this in various places to various people. What it must have taken for Peter to trust the Lord in this situation?! Peter being a Jew and mingling with a Gentile was a big deal, but he trusted the Lord.

“Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.” Acts 10:28

Jesus dined with tax collectors and sinners. Jesus washed His disciples’ feet. He hung on a criminal’s cross in innocence. Peter is now putting it all on the line to be obedient to the Lord. Obedience will cost us at times. Are you willing to pay the costs? No matter the cost though it will never cost us more than it costs Jesus. Today, maybe the Lord is calling you to step out and trust Him in something. Are you willing? Count the cost but know it cost Jesus way more than it will ever cost any of us.
