Forgot to send this on Tuesday. Sending today. Blessings….

Father, help me to get this… help us to get this! Teach us to receive this truth for You tell us, “we shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free”.

This is Paul’s last letter written. He knows his time is short. He has been imprisoned in the Mamertine Prison. It’s a rough place to be. As we read 2 Timothy this week keep this in mind.

Paul writing about ministering to Timothy writes, “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” (2 Timothy 1:6). Paul also writes about being ministered to by Onesiphorus, “The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day—and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.” 2 Timothy 1:18

Yes, minister! We should be ministering to others daily through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However, we should also receive ministry as well. It’s the beautiful part of the fellowship of the saints offered in being the church. Paul didn’t let his position, strength of faith, and reputation get in the way of being ministered too. He received it gladly and offered it willingly.

How will you minister to others today? How will you receive ministry today? May the streets of ministry flow both ways today in our lives. Don’t block the freeway of the ministry. The Kingdom of God’s streets are free and clear of traffic. Let’s live that way. Let’s minister and be ministered too!

Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38
