Father, help us today to be aware of the miraculous in our lives. Holy Spirit, remind us of Your faithfulness in and through us. Give us eyes to see and a heart to respond out of Your grace and mercy. In Jesus name, Amen!
Peter writes a second letter to those following Jesus. He reminds them of many things, but in reminding others he is reminded of his past as well. "For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain." 2 Peter 1:17-18
Peter remembered a moment that encouraged him even as he knew his own time was short (v12-15). Peter was still filled with wonder of the Lord's grace and mercy in His life and He lived in that power. Do you remember the rough stuff from yesterday? Or do you remember all the Lord has done and is continuing to do? We are emboldened and encouraged as we live from Christ' work in our lives. May we allow His grace and mercy to encourage us where we are right now and live the hope of Christ.
