We often speak of coming to Jesus with our burdens on the day of our salvation. The Lord’s grace is mighty, indeed! If coming to Him with our burdens initially results in new life then coming to Jesus continually breathes new life in all our days.

Paul just reminded us in 1 Corinthians 2:20, “we are ambassadors”, and it is “as though God were pleading through us”. We need not forget our salvation is to be shared… even (and most importantly) in difficulties of life.

Paul explains in verses 3 through 10 this very truth. He writes, “But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;” (2 Corinthians 6:4-5).

Difficulties will come. Seasons will be seasons. But let it be known, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31
