Therefore… Reading through the passage we see “therefore” repeated many times. Each “therefore” points back to the hope of eternity with Jesus. When eternity is the focus instead of our daily issues, worrying about tomorrow, or the busyness of life transformation happens.
“Therefore, being always of good courage…” 2 Corinthians 5:6
“Therefore, we also have as our ambition…to be pleasing to Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:9 partial
“Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men…” 2 Corinthians 5:11 partial
“Therefore, from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh...” 2 Corinthians 5:16
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ…” 2 Corinthians 5:20
Be of good courage, pleasing to the Lord, in the fear of the Lord, recognizing others in the Spirit, walking in new life as ambassadors for Jesus. Are you walking in the “therefore” or allowing the pressures of life to outweigh the abundance of eternity in heaven?
