Yours doesn’t fade!

Just so we’re on the same page several times in this letter to the Corinthians the passage is connecting the Old Testament with the New Testament. Connecting both to the Gospel of Jesus.

Do you remember what happened when Moses spent time on Mt. Sinai with the Lord getting instruction of how Israel should live? He came off the mountain and his face shone bright because he had been talking with the Lord (Exodus 34). Paul references this in comparison to the Gospel. He calls the old covenant, “the letter” because it was the letter of the law. What do we walk in because of Jesus today? “The Holy Spirit” which gives life (v6). The summary of this comparison (v18) says if anyone is born again there isn’t a fading away but we’re being transformed from His glory to His glory. It only gets better because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. He is working in your life. Be confident even when we have a bad day or fail, He is still working faithfully in and through you.

Do you think with each passing day the glory of what Jesus has done in your life is fading? Ahh, follower of Jesus knows His work in you is only getting better as the day of Jesus draws near. Good days, bad days happen but don’t allow the enemy of your soul convince you Jesus’ glory is fading in your life. “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4   Be encouraged Jesus looks good on you!
