Paul in one of his most endearing letters writes, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved. But be that as it may, I did not burden you...” 2 Corinthians 12:15-16

What determines how you love others? Paul was having to defend himself in areas. The church of Corinth wasn’t listening to him. They were questioning his apostleship. Yet… Paul still loved them. Even personally testifying they loved him less as he loved them more. What disrupts your love towards others?

Paul was one example of loving the unlovable. But our greatest example was Jesus. He demonstrated His love in loving us while we were swimming deep in our sins. He demonstrates His love on a continuous basis. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Let’s choose love even when others may not choose to love us back! Yes, it’s a hard task but that’s why we’ve been given His Holy Spirit to lead us in loving others. So, let’s love!
