“Let me tell you something you already know. The world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.” -Rocky Balboa

“From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often, in cold and nakedness” 2 Corinthians 11:24-27

We’re going to deal with struggles in life. Death, trials, injustice, and the like. The things Paul was dealing with were all attached to the proclamation of the Gospel. I’m sure that made it even more difficult. Every struggle we deal with isn’t necessarily Gospel related. It’s not always Satan’s fault. Sometimes it’s because of sin and selfishness in us. This doesn’t make it any easier though.

Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. It’s important we remember this. But no matter what we might go through in life let’s keep worshiping Jesus, let’s keep glorifying the name of Jesus, let’s be the sweet-smelling aroma of heaven. There’s nothing we endure that can’t be for the glory of God. We just need to praise Him through the storm. It’s okay to hurt, it’s okay to be vulnerable just keep the praises and petitions to the Lord!

Praying, as you read this whatever you may be going through the Lord draws you to Himself and grants you the grace of peace in the situation.
