Do you realize you have an area? Yes, you! You’ve been appointed an area. What are you doing with it?
Paul was confident in what the Lord was doing in His life and in the lives of those around him. We read, “We, however, will not boast beyond measure, but within the limits of the sphere which God appointed us—a sphere which especially includes you.” 2 Corinthians 10:13
He recognized the Lord had appointed him a sphere of influence and that’s where Paul’s focus was. Paul’s reach continued to grow but that wasn’t the point, was it? He was faithful to be an influential force for the Kingdom of God where the Lord had him and that sphere ended up growing. But it wasn’t because he spent time trying to grow that sphere. Paul was faithful to live out the Gospel where the Lord had him.
Do you know you have a sphere of influence as well? Your family, extended family, your workplace, the place you frequent, and your spiritual family. Let’s be influential where we are today for the kingdom of God and let the Lord expand our territory as He sees fit. Let’s focus on those we already are doing life with. Live out what Christ is doing within and watch as the sphere of influence He has blessed us with flourishes in Jesus.
