You have something to give. So, give it!

Jehoshaphat becomes king in Israel. He continues strengthening Judah militarily. He also continues to walk in the ways of the Lord, “And his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord; moreover he removed the high places and wooden images from Judah.” (2 Chronicles 17:6). Not only does he delight in the Lord but he takes leaders and Levites and ministers to the people. “So they taught in Judah, and had the Book of the Law of the Lord with them; they went throughout all the cities of Judah and taught the people.” 2 Chronicles 17:9

Jehoshaphat delighted in the Lord. He had influence. So, he took what he knew and gave it to the people, and they were blessed because of it. When we repent and put our faith in Jesus, we too have something to give. No matter how far our influence reaches. We have family members, neighbors, and co-workers. There are people around us who don’t delight in the Lord. People in this world who are striving to get by instead of thriving in Christ.

What do you do with your influence? Whether you’re a mechanic or doctor, barista or administrator, live in a million-dollar house or single-family home, with a large family or small we each can teach others what we’ve been taught. Freedom in Christ. Sonship or daughtership! The new life that’s been given to you by faith can be extended to others. What are you waiting for?!
