Fierce vs. Fear... I pray this ministers to you as it did to my family this morning.

The servants of King Achish recognized the leader and conqueror David was, but in the moment David wasn't even thinking that way. "David took these words to heart and greatly feared Achish king of Gath. So he disguised his sanity before them, and acted insanely in their hands, and scribbled on the doors of the gate, and let his saliva run down into his beard." 1 Sam 21:12-13

David had a range of emotions during his life. Much like we do. Sometimes we recognize the conquers in Christ we are and at other times not so much. David acts crazy here and at other times cried out to the Lord, "Hear my cry, O God... For You have been a refuge for me, A tower of strength against the enemy." Ps 61:1, 3

How do we become fierce instead of being fearful? ""He will abide before God forever.. So I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may pay my vows day by day." Ps 61:7-8

We can get overwhelmed at times in our thoughts but the key to fierceness is crying out, abiding, and praising the Lord. Where do you find yourself today? Cry to Him, abide in Him, praise Him today!
