The Lord answers Hannah and she prays, "There is no one holy like the Lord, Indeed, there is no one besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God. He keeps the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a man prevail. Those who contend with the Lord will be shattered; Against them He will thunder in the heavens, The Lord will judge the ends of the earth; And He will give strength to His king, And will exalt the horn of His anointed."" 1 Sam 2:2,9-10
We read of people taking advantage of the Lord. The sons of Eli mock Him. "Now the sons of Eli were worthless men; they did not know the Lord" (1 Sam 2:12). On one hand people are committed and living for the Lord while others mock and ridicule. Does the Lord take care of Himself? Yes.
We've been given a purpose, a purpose to love and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world who mocks and is full of wickedness. But our purpose doesn't change because of others actions. We love and live for the name of Jesus regardless. Are you doing that? I need to check my own heart here. Let's quit pointing fingers and start pointing people to Jesus and His kingdom.
