Heart check. Let it be!

Saul continues as king making poor decisions as Samuel mourns his actions. The Lord tells Samuel to move on and anoint the next king. As Samuel is before Jesse's sons the Lord says, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature... for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."" 1 Sam 16:7

The Lord sees THE HEART when dealing with people. How do we look on other's actions? What if we sought the Lord to see as He sees and love as He loves? Under the new covenant there's a promise, "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances." Ez 36:26-27

To look on others as Jesus looks on us is possible in Christ. Holy Spirit enables us to have a heart like Christ. Let's pray towards that for ourselves and let's pray that for others. "Father, we cry out for a heart like Your's for others. We pray You would strengthen Your church to love like You love. You said it could be so let it be in us. In Jesus name, Amen"
