Yes men...Yes women...

This pivotal moment in Saul's life is reminiscent of his past decisions. The Lord is His wisdom told Saul specifically what to do. Yet Saul had other plans and when confronted with his error he blames others. Samuel says to Saul, "What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?" (1 Sam 15:14). Saul had chose to do things his way not the Lord's.

There are times where the Lord is specific is His leading. Where the Holy Spirit impresses our hearts to do something. In those times the answer isn't yes and no, it's yes and yes! We can think we know best, but underneath our disobedience what we're really saying is my will is better than the Lord's. I've been guilty of this before. I've realized I was being selfish and self-willed.

And to further this thought unless the boss you have, the leader who's over you, or whatever authority figure in your life is asking you to sin... the answer should be yes! May we be yes men and women for the glory of God. He puts all in authority and knows all things so our hearts should be geared to the Lord's will and way. Read 1 Samual 15:22-23
