Making decisions worse?

Samuel testifies before all of Israel and they witness what he says is true. He also testifies of the Lord and what it means for Israel asking for a king. "Then all the people said to Samuel, "Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, so that we may not die, for we have added to all our sins this evil by asking for ourselves a king."" 1 Sam 12:19

After Samuel told them of their mistake they finally realize it. It's time for Samuel to stick it to them right? Yet, "Samuel said to the people, "Do not fear. You have committed all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart." 1 Sam 12:20

It's true people make bad decisions. We all do at some point in life. We could pounce on that, but should we? Samuel tells them how to turn from their bad decision. What do you do when you make a bad decision? What do you do when you see others making bad decisions. Let's pray for and encourage those around us to turn to the Lord even when they don't necessarily deserve it. None of us do that's why we all swim in God's grace. Let's encourage instead of discourage. It could be the change others and ourselves need!
