What will you do?

Samuel anoints Saul to be king over Israel. The Lord validates the words of Samuel over a series of events which are fulfilled perfectly. In front of Israel the Lord establishes Saul as the king of Israel.

"Samuel said to all the people, "Do you see him whom the Lord has chosen? Surely there is no one like him among all the people." So all the people shouted and said, "Long live the king!"" 1 Sam 10:24

We will see in the upcoming record of 1 Samuel how Saul uses his influence and power. The Lord uses every verse, chapter, and record of the Bible for us to understand Him more. In understanding the Lord more, we understand what He is challenging us in as well. Do you know you have been chosen too? "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" 1 Pet 2:9

Let's ask ourselves: What am I doing with my influence? It's a gift from the Lord whether you acknowledge it or not. At your job, in your home, with your neighbors, hanging with friends do you glorify God or is your life centered around self?
