"Today, Holy Spirit lead us to the throne room. No matter our request impress on us a heart to seek You and Your heart. In Jesus name, Amen"

As we read in 1 Samuel we meet Elkanah, his family, and see the heart of his wife Hannah. There is opposition in Elkanah's household and Hannah seems to be the person taking the most heat in the situation. "Her rival, however, would provoke her bitterly to irritate her, because the Lord had closed her womb." 1 Samuel 1:6

What does Hannah do? What do we do in hurtful situations? Well we read, "She, greatly distressed, prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly." (1 Samuel 1:10). She turned to the Lord in her pain. She wept before the Almighty in her distress.

Can we say, "In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears." Ps 18:6

The Lord hears. The Lord answers. We can be for sure of His character and responses. It's up to us to go to the Lord. What are you doing with your distress and pain? Don't take it out on others, but take to Him in prayer and petition.
