Got time for a cloud in the sky? Riding down the road, I noticed a single, small cloud in the distant sky. I felt God's still, small voice reminding me of 1 Kings 18.

A severe drought had gripped the nation, a consequence of rebellion against God. The people, led by leaders who followed their own ways, hadn't seen rain in ages. The land was parched, the situation dire. Yet, God chose Elijah to deliver a bold message to the king: "The sound of abundant rain is coming!" Elijah then humbled himself, praying fervently with his face to the ground, waiting for God's promise to unfold. Six times, he sent his servant to look for a sign. "Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, "There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea!" 1 Kings 18:44

I'm reflecting on what God is speaking through this. Does it resonate with you? Like Elijah, you might be facing tough circumstances. Perhaps you've received a word from God and are still waiting for it to come to pass. Are you praying persistently? Are you watching with expectation, trusting that even a small cloud signals God's faithfulness? Let's pray together: Father, speak to us. Stir our hearts to remain faithful and expectant.
