Consider for a moment the love of God. How deep, how far, how wide His love for us truly is!

Talking with some friends this morning I realized how much the grace and love of God has transformed me. Over and over He loved me when I was unloveable. Over and over He loves me today. His love is faithful even in my faults. His love is steadfast even in my sin. Maybe, you recognize His love too? The Father gave His Son. Jesus gave Himself. This was done, not when we were at our best, but when we were at our worst.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” I John 4:7-11

If the Lord could love us, then why can’t we love others? The Bible says, “what credit is it to love someone who loves you back?” What about loving the unlovable, forgiving the unforgivable, and having compassion for the compassionless?

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

He loves you. Now, go love others.
