Will you building physically or spiritually?

Let’s be reminded what Paul wrote earlier, “But a natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Corinthians 2:14

First, knowing of Jesus is different than KNOWING JESUS! Knowing Jesus produces in each of us faith. That faith (given by the Spirit of God) helps us to discern the things of the Spirit apart from the things of this world. Then, in faith, in Christ… we take part in building the kingdom of God. How we do that is important!

“Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, each one’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each one’s work. If anyone’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.” 1 Corinthians 3:12-14

We can spend our lives building with physical strength, wisdom, and resources and miss out on building spiritually. But building spiritually is what we are called to do. What exactly is that?

Start by praying. Who is someone you want to see experience the love and wisdom of God? Start by praying for them!

Sharing is caring. It may not seem spiritual but trusting the Spirit of God and sharing with a friend, family, or co-worker about the good things the Lord is doing in your life, or the gospel itself is spiritual indeed. Step out in faith and share.
