As we close in reading 1 Corinthians remember this was a letter of correction. There were many issues in the church and throughout the letter they were confronted. A few things we can learn.

1- Don’t stop gathering. Even with issues within the church keep gathering as the church. “All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.” 1 Corinthians 16:20

2- Don’t stop supporting. Even with difficulties within the church we are still on mission to reach those who don’t know Jesus and support the work of ministry. “On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.” 1 Corinthians 16:2

3- Don’t stop loving. Even with hurt within the church we are to love each other as Christ loves us. Remember, Jesus washed Judas’ feet knowing he would betray Him. “Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

The world is broken. It is yet to be redeemed but we are ambassadors of reconciliation for name and glory of Jesus. Until that day comes as hell is thrown at us keep seeking and serving Jesus. None of those things matter, but what does matter is Jesus and the kingdom of God.

- To Know Jesus. To Live on Mission.
