Clang… clang… clang… speak a word into a friend’s life? clang… clang… clang… speak things to the church the Lord has revealed to you? Clink…. Clink… clink… are you one of the most faith filled believers as you gather? Clang… clang… clang… clink… clink… clink…

As annoying as it was to read between the clanging and clinking it is likewise when we do things without love. The church of Corinth believed they were spiritually gifted but had forgotten it wasn’t about how gifted they were but the love they showed in Jesus. We read, “And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:3

The Bible says in Romans it is the goodness of God that leads us to repentance. We can find ourselves doing things because we think we are the only person who can do them well (spiritually or practically) and forget to walk in love while doing them. When this happens, we are just clinking and clanging around and miss out on the root of the Gospel, His great love!

You going to spend your time clanging and clinking around today or walk in love? Let’s love be our motivating factor in Christ today.
