Instead of going over the whole chapter today let’s focus on one thing David wrote and did…
“Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:” I Chronicles 29:3
What have you set your affections on? What has your heart? What are your thoughts on? What has you instead of you having it?
It’s true what holds are affections is what we give ourselves and most valued possessions too. When you have time read over the chapter but today I encourage you to sit and make yourself aware of the presence of the Father. He’s very much with you. Ask Him to show you where your affections lay. Then lay whatever has your affections down and refocus your affections on the Father. Today choose to love the Lord our God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
Maybe a worship song while you do?
There is nothing more important than to have your affections towards the Lord. Hope you will join me in spending some time in the presence of the Lord today.
