Do you understand the assignment?

We read of David setting up Solomon to build the house of God. He recognizes the Lord’s will, sets aside the resources to help, and prepares the leaders of Israel to assist Solomon. He understood the assignment.

David says, “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the holy articles of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the Lord.” I Chronicles 22:19

We each have an assignment. Sometimes we spend our lives searching for it instead of walking in it. David may have been the one who prepared. Solomon may have been the one who would build. But the important part for them, like us, “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise…”

Maybe you’re at a crossroads right now. Maybe you don’t fully understand what the Lord is doing in your life, or what He’s going to do. But we can all set our hearts and souls to seek the Lord. Whether 10 years old or 100 years old the primary call of the believer is to set our hearts and souls to seek the Lord. When we do, all the other stuff falls into place. Today, choose to fall in love with the Lord more! (Matthew 6:33-34)
