We read about a season of battles taking place with Israel. David’s men are defeating giants, even family members of the infamous Goliath. We even read of David’s nephew defeating one of these giants. “These were born to the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.” I Chronicles 20:8
Do you remember when Israel came into the land? 10 out of 12 spies said the land was full of giants and they felt like grasshoppers in the face of the enemy. Israel had a defeated mentality.
Do you remember when David’s older brothers, along with all of Israel, sat in fear of Goliath the giant? Israel had a defeated mentality.
Now, after those around David have witnessed him conquering giants, they’re now doing the same. David’s victories strengthened those around him. David defied his fears and walked in faith which paved the way for others to do the same.
Stand strong, the Lord uses your victories to bring victories to those around you. You may be battling now but as you rely, depend, and walk thru the fire in faith you are influencing others around you. Your victory is contagious. Your strength is contagious. Your faith is contagious. So… stand strong for victory has been given in the powerful name of Christ. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” I John 5:4
