The sheep is still the shepherds, the coin still has the same value, the son is still a son, and there's joy and rejoicing for the repentant.
I'mreminded about the goodness of God today. I firmly believe in the living Word of God. When the Bible says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God..." in 2 Timothy the Greek there is, "theopneustos". It literally means "the breath of God". ALL scripture is given by God and the Lord uses it each day to minister to us.
So, reading Luke 15 I recognized our value isn't in our decisions, or our location, and it doesn't change because we're wayward. Our value is locked in the fact we've been created in the image of God.
I'm thankful the Lord has called me His. I'm thankful I get each day to live out the faith the Lord's given me. But now... now we get to live our lives in such a way to see the lost sheep be saved, the coin be found, and the son be restored. The question is do we rejoice along with heaven for lives being transformed? "It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.' " Luke 15:32
Let's live rejoicing in our salvation and be joyful when we see others choose the same!
