Isaiah ministered to both the southern and northern kingdoms of Israel during a time of moral and spiritual decline leading up to their downfall and captivity. His message from the Lord remained consistent: the people had turned from God, yet the Lord continued to call them back with mercy and grace.

He writes: ""Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

We're offered that same invitation today. On this side of the cross, we see even more clearly the grace extended to us through Christ. Each day, we have the choice to surrender our hearts to the Lord; not just once, but daily through the decisions we make.

Maybe you have been drifting through the tide of life lately. Not being intentional or not realizing the blessings of God upon your life. Today, let's choose to be intentional: intentional to sit with Jesus and intentional to live on mission.
