Stolen? Forgive

After Nineveh repented from hearing Jonah's message the Lord relented. "But it greatly displeased Jonah and he became angry." (Jonah 4:1). To the point Jonah says, "Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for death is better to me than life."" Jonah 4:3

Jonah was being robbed and he didn't recognize it even though it was right in his face. He even describes the character of the Lord, "...I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity." Jonah 4:2

Jonah's inability to forgive others robbed him of his present victories. The Lord had forgiven Jonah for running and continued speaking to him as a prophetic voice. And Jonah still missed it.

The same is true for us. Our inability to forgive those around us steals our peace, kills our joy, and destroys our potential. Search your heart right now. Take a moment to ask the Lord if there is unforgiveness in your heart. AND IF SO RESPOND RIGHT NOW. Like right now: call, text, or walk in the other room. Your heart needs release from unforgiveness. You're being robbed! Don't let it go any further.
