Some of the laws we see instituted in our country today can be found recorded in the Bible. Obviously, not exactly how we govern today but a form. Moses speaks about “degrees of guilt for bloodshed” (v8) and its punishment and judgment.
He goes on to record about future rulers and kings and their dealings with the Torah. One thing I find interesting is he records, “And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,” Deuteronomy 17:19
How does he say kings can rule with wisdom? Get a copy of the Word, read it all the days of his life, and be careful to observe it. Sound familiar? Wisdom for whatever you might deal with today, tomorrow, or the next can be found in the Father and His Word. Everything, you name it… remember wisdom is found in Him and His Word. Where do you look for sound judgement and wisdom? May we search for our dealings in life in Christ and His Word!
