Never too far gone, never!

Zophar, in his earlier words to Job, had urged him to repent (Job 11). Now, in his response, he moves beyond that call. He tells Job, "Yet he will perish forever like his own refuse; Those who have seen him will say, 'Where is he?' He will fly away like a dream, and not be found; Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night. The eye that saw him will see him no more, Nor will his place behold him anymore." Job 20:7-9

Zophar and his friends go further than merely calling Job wicked. They no longer even suggest repentance. Instead, they speak of the inevitable downfall of the wicked. Despite Job's righteousness, they refuse to believe it and have abandoned any hope of his redemption.

Is there someone in your life you believe is beyond repentance? You may feel they are too far gone from God's grace and mercy. This is not true. Today, will you pray and believe for that person who is on your heart? No one is beyond God's reach. Pray for His grace and mercy to touch even the darkest life and hardest heart.
