Blessed Be the Name of the Lord

The story of Job is a powerful narrative of faith amid trials. We see the highs and lows of Job's life and glimpse a divine dialogue between the Lord and Satan.

Job, the wealthiest man in the East, loses everything in an instant-his riches, servants, and ten children. Imagine facing such a devastating blow. How would you respond to such loss?

Job's response is remarkable: "Then Job arose, tore his robe, shaved his head, fell to the ground, and worshiped. He said, 'Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord'" (Job 1:20-21).

He worships. He acknowledges that all he had was entrusted to him by God. Like us, Job later questions why this happened, but his first instinct is worship.

Without diminishing anyone's pain or struggles, consider: Is worship our response in difficult moments? Let's prepare our hearts now. Let's choose to make worship a lifestyle, no matter what tomorrow holds.
